May Spotlight On Learning

During May's Spotlight On Learning, Rebecca Brink (Instructional Coach) and Brigit Pettit (Technology Coordinator) shared an overview and demonstration of the type of technology being used K-12 and how it is enhancing the student and staff experience. The team shared how the technology has supported a modern learning environment and student engagement.

At the elementary level, all classrooms in 1st and 4th grade, along with classrooms where projectors are needing to be replaced, have received mobile, touchscreen Viewboards. There are many benefits to the technology, including the ability to recognize multiple points of touch, which allows for multiple students to work on the screen at the same time, as well as templating and theme options to make for an interactive student experience.

Classrooms at the Middle and High School levels receive TV with casting capabilities as projectors need to be replaced. The TVs offer annotation capabilities right on the device casting to the screen, with the ability to save the documents to share with students to go back to review lesson notes.
