Pre-Kindergarten Book and Author Resources
Between the Lions -
http://pbskids.org/lions/
I love the songs
section in here. Watch mini animated movies on letters of the
alphabet or vowel patterns or just listen to songs. The games
section is all related to the alphabet, reading, and words. The nice
thing here is the directions are read aloud to you.

author’s webpage that’s full of info about Hedgie the hedgehog and all his
friends and cool printable activities. Want to put on a play…click

the books, research guides, the author (Mary Pope Osborne), and you’ll
even want to visit the teacher resources to get some cool activities.
Officer Buckle and
Gloria -
http://www.eduscapes.com/caldecott/96a.html
This is a great book
to get you thinking about safety. Officer Buckle is the information
officer who comes to schools to talk about safety. When he has given his
talk at Napville Elementary school in the past, the children had always
ignored him because he was so dull. One day when he comes to the school
for his safety speech, a police dog named Gloria accompanies him. The
children really love the way the dog steals the show. Gloria has her own
way of performing safety tips while Officer Buckle talks. Officer Buckle
becomes jealous and quits the act, but Gloria isn't able to do it alone.
So once again they are teaming up on Safety Tips.
Arthur -
http://pbskids.org/arthur/
The kids will love to
learn more about Arthur and all of his friends. Great printable
activities like masks of all the characters. Click on the characters
and find out their favorite books and more info on their trading cards.
Check out Fern’s poetry club and postcard writing too.
